Our History
1986 - Introduced Micro-Frame Program Manager™
(MPM™) to help Aerospace & Defense (A&D) organizations
manage complex programs. MPM quickly established itself as the
industry leading program management solution. Today, global companies
such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, Hughes, General Dynamics,
and Northrop Grumman use MPM.
1995 - Introduced BE client/server product suite to provide
an enterprise-wide project and resource management application
for organizations in other industries besides A&D. Today,
BE 5.x applications are used by worldwide organizations, including
Fidelity, Aetna, Hong Kong Shanghai Bank, Sears, Siemens, Pfizer,
Merck, Roche, Eli Lilly, and Sony.
1999 - Acquired BayPointe Software, Inc., a developer
of browser-based applications for contract management, collaboration
and project accounting.
2000 - Launched the Business Engine Network™ (BEN™)
in April 2000. The BEN is a Web-based enterprise application that
integrates portfolio management, budgeting and financial management,
project and resource management, and external relationship management
within a single, collaborative platform. Today, the BEN is used
by global organizations such as Deutsche Bank, ING, Tesco, and
Lloyds TSB.
2002 - Partnered with Microsoft® to become their first
Independent Solution Provider (ISV) for Microsoft Project. While
continuing to support Microsoft Project 98 and 2000, the BEN 5.3
embeds Microsoft Project and continues to be the industry's pre-eminent
integrated solution for helping organizations align executive
guidance with detailed project planning and execution.
2005 - Launched BEN Alignment Engine, the industry's leading
portfolio optimization tool, in June 2005. This release was followed
by BEN Method Engine and BEN Business Intelligence in November
2005. BEN Method Engine is a Business Process Management tool
for project-based organizations. BEN Business Intelligence embeds
Cognos' industry-leading reporting functionality to provide customers
with a fully integrated business intelligence solution for effective
portfolio management.
2006 - Acquired Xylogy Research, a privately-held provider of graphical process management technology. Xylogy’s flexible, easy-to-use process modeling has been integrated into the Business Engine Network. Signed a strategic partnership with UGS, dramatically expanding Business Engine’s exposure and reach to manufacturing firms worldwide. |
